Finding a 'clean eating' restaurant is like finding a rare gem. Below is my personal list of South African gems were you can find meals free of  gluten, dairy and artificial sugars.

5 Spoons: 

Leafy Greens.: Vegan Meals, lovely juices and delicious desserts

 4 Spoons:

 Nomad Restaurant: Best Vegan Pizza and Creme Brule in Stellenbosh!

The Grove Green Cafe: Food, Drinks and sweet treats

Boost Juice: juices only! Not all are dairy free s check the menu.

 Mary-Ann's Eatery and Emporium: Vegan buffet, sweet treats and cute shop.

Good food and co: based in Franschoek, great gluten and dairy free alternatives

 3 Spoons:

 Doppio Zero: gluten free pizza base, soya milk and gluten free wraps available at an extra charge

Nandos: All sauces are sugar-free. Best chicken livers in town!

Cold Cold Ice Creme: Stick to the tasty paleo, vegan or sugar free ice cream. Cookie are to be avoided.

Fresh Earth: lots of gluten free options, but few dairy and sugar dishes.

All you need to know about shelf-life and storage of Mestinon

Mestinon: Storage and Shelf-life http://www.meda.co.za/ Mestinon (pyridostigmine)  is a lifeline for Myasthenia Gravis Warriors such as myself. I rely on it to keep my muscles functioning and take it every 4 hours. Without it, I can feel my eyes drooping and my muscles slowly turning to mush. When we had a postal strike in South Africa, I ran out of Mestinon. ‘Perhaps in three weeks’ I would receive my medication was their verdict. I had to go from pharmacy to pharmacy trying to source Mestinon at my own cost. After this, I vowed to always have some spare. So on a good day, I would stretch out my doses. I now have about a month’s supply extra. My concern was:  What is the shelf life of Mestinon and can I take it if it says it’s expired. Firstly Storage of Mestinon is essential as to maintain the drug's potency. -          Keep your tablets in the bottle until it is time to take them. Therapeutic Journaling Need a confidential, non-judge mental support system? Don't have a friend to call or a shoulder to cry on? Feel like you need an emotional detox? Why not try journaling? When I was first introduced to therapeutic journaling I was a sceptic. I had all the what ifs to back me up. What if someone finds it and reads it? What if I'm not disciplined enough to do it daily? What if I just don't have anything to write about? What if it's only negative? As a therapist I want to be honest with my clients. I will not suggest anything unless I see the benefit in it.
